Epic Con is NUI Maynooth’s sci-fi, anime and fantasy convention that is held every year in February.
Epic-con was started in 2009 to celebrate Omega’s 10th anniversary.
This makes Omega the longest continually running fantasy or sci-fi society within Ireland. Despite only having 4 months to organise the event our first year was a tremendous success, with over 120 people having attended and we are expecting even more people this year.
Since then Epic Con has grown in size and popularity and raised thousands of euro for charity and local causes.
